Sedative-hypnotic drugs. Barbiturates in combination with other components
Corvalol-Darnitsa is a sedative and antispasmodic agent; its action is determined by its components. α-bromizovaleric acid ethyl ester has a reflex sedative and antispasmodic effect caused mainly by irritation of the oral and nasopharyngeal receptors, reducing the reflex excitability in the central nervous system, enhancing inhibition in the cortical neurons and subcortical brain structures, as well as reducing the activity of central vasomotor centers and a direct local antispasmodic effect on the vascular smooth muscle.
– Neuroses with increased irritability.
– In complex therapy of hypertension and vegetative-vascular dystonia (dysautonomia).
– Mild coronary blood vessels spasms, tachycardia.
– Intestinal spasms (as an antispasmodic drug).
Corvalol-Darnitsa should be taken orally 2–3 times per day, regardless of food intake, 15–30 drops with water or on a sugar cube. If necessary (pronounced tachycardia and spasm of the coronary blood vessels) the single dose can be increased to 40-50 drops.
The duration of administration is determined by the physician depending on the clinical effect and tolerability.
