Active substance - pregabalin, a gamma-aminobutyric acid ((S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexane acid) analogue. Mechanism of Action. Pregabalin binds to the auxillary subunit (2- protein) of voltage-gated calcium channels in central nervous system (CNS).
Neuropathic pain.
Treatment of neuropathic pain of peripheral or central origin in adults.
Epilepsy.
Adjuvant therapy of partial seizures with or without secondary generalisation in adults.
Generalised anxiety disorder.
Treatment of generalised anxiety disorder in adults.
Fibromyalgia.
Dosage and Administration.
Taken regardless of food intake.
This medicine is intended solely for oral use.
Dosing.
The dosing range can be changed from 150 mg to 600 mg daily. The daily dose is divided into 2–3 doses.
