Topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
Remisid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor. In its anti-inflammatory activity, nimesulide at the initial inflammation stage is equivalent to indomethacin and piroxicam at an equimolar concentration.
Topical treatment of pathological conditions of the musculoskeletal system that are characterised by pain, inflammation, and stiffness, such as osteoarthritis, periarthritis, post-traumatic tendinitis, tenosynovitis, muscle sprain, heavy load on the joints.
For external use in adults. The skin surface should be washed and dried before the application of the gel. A length of approximately 3 cm of gel should be applied to the painful areas as a thin layer and lightly rubbed. The frequency of the use is 3–4 times daily.
The treatment duration is determined individually, depending on the therapy effectiveness, and is not more than 4 weeks.
