Selective β1-adrenoreceptor antagonists in combination with other hypotensive agents
Tonorma is a combination antihypertensive medicine that contains atenolol, nifedipine, and chlorthalidone. The antihypertensive effect of the medicine is due to the mechanism of action of its components, chiefly the main one — atenolol.
Hypertension, if the therapy with one or two of the medicine components is ineffective.
The medicine should be used in adults orally before or after meals without chewing, preferably always at the same time. The dose of the medicine and the treatment duration are determined by the physician on an individual basis. The average dose for adults is 1–2 tablets per day.
