Darnitsa Included Among Top 25 Ukrainian Exporting Companies

Darnitsa Pharmaceutical Company was included among Top 25 Ukrainian Exporting Companies according to “Vlada ta hroshi” (“Power and Money”) magazine.

In the course of making the top list, the quantitative indicators of companies’ exports, the popularity of products in other countries, the uniqueness of goods and services, the number of countries to which products are exported, etc. were taken into account.

Darnitsa currently exports its pharmaceuticals to 15 countries in the EU, the CIS, the Middle East and East Asia. The company’s annual export increase is about 30%.

“The share of exports is about 5% of the company’s total sales. The growth rate of the export share is about 1% in annual volumes. In the next five years, it is planned to increase the share of exports to 20%,” tells Iryna Radchenko, Director of the Export Department of Darnitsa Pharmaceutical Company.

According to the reference book “Pharmaceutical Industry of Ukraine 2020”, the pharmaceutical company has been in the leading position since 1998 in terms of manufacturing of drugs by volume in Ukraine. In the Ukrainian market, every seventh medicinal product is marketed under “Darnitsa” brand.

Since 2002, the company has been certified according to the international GMP standard, and annually produces 670 million packs of drugs in various dosages. In the last four years (since 2018), the company has completed 15 studies on the bioequivalence and pharmacokinetics of drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular and other diseases, 12 of which involved contract research organizations from the EU. Last year, Darnitsa launched 22 new brands (48 different finished drugs). In total, the company’s portfolio includes about 180 brands.

The authors of the top list note that they wanted to single out those Ukrainian companies that managed to prove their quality and demand for their products in the markets of other countries. In addition, in such a way these manufacturers have increased the international prestige of the Ukrainian business, industry, agriculture and the state.
