Antimicrobial agents used in intestinal infections
A sulfanilamide medicine with a broad range of effects that is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria — intestinal pathogens. It has a bacteriostatic effect whose mechanism is due to disruption of growth factor synthesis in the microorganisms — folic and dehydropholic acids needed for purine and pyrimidine synthesis.
– Acute dysentery (shigellosis), chronic dysentery in the exacerbation phase;
– colitis, enterocolitis, gastroenteritis;
– prevention of infectious complications in intestinal surgeries.
Do not use the medicine for longer than the specified time period without consulting a physician!
To be taken orally by adults and children over 3 years old.
