Darnytsia and Veteran Hub Join Forces: Memorandum of Cooperation Has Been Signed

The pharmaceutical company 'Darnytsia' concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation with charity foundation Veteran Hub.

The goal of the initiative is to support veterans returning to civilian work.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 'Darnytsia' determined for itself the importance of increased support for veterans. Thus, the company began developing a corporate program aimed at creating inclusive and favourable conditions for employment and adaptation of Ukrainian military personnel, after completion of their service.

“We realise that veterans are returning to a society that has also undergone change. They are returning to people who were not mobilised, but who have experienced loss, stress, perhaps revised their values. Therefore, it is important to involve both civilian workers and veterans in creating the desired atmosphere. It is important to help the team create a flexible and tolerant interaction between civilian workers, veterans and candidates for open positions with military experience,” - says Olena Sokolova, People Director of pharmaceutical company 'Darnytsia'.

Darnytsia with the support of the Veteran Hub team, developed a priority action plan that includes specialised lectures and workshops for the HR team, employees and managers, consultations with psychologists for all those who feel the need for support, and monitoring of the company's existing HR processes.

“In order to make these initiatives effective, we need to involve the whole team, because each of us forms the corporate culture of the company and, in one way or another, makes an impact on the atmosphere in the team,” - adds Olena Sokolova.

Currently, more than 30 employees of 'Darnytsia' company are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The company continuously supports the defenders and protectors of Ukraine, keeps jobs for them, and continues to pay salaries.

The corporate volunteer movement "We Are Together" helps colleagues who are serving and mobilised relatives of employees with necessary ammunition, devices, medicines and other essential equipment.

From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the company has donated 2.9 million packs of medicines worth over UAH 247.4 million, as charity aid to the Ministry of Health, medical institutions and public organisations.
