Darnytsia Joined the Student Conference to Support Future Pharmacists

Representatives of Pharmaceutical Company ‘Darnytsia’, which is one of the leaders in the Ukrainian market of medicines, took part in the First Student Pharmaceutical Conference. The event was held to commemorate the 25^th anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the O. Bogomolets National Medical University.

The main coordinator of the project was Sofia Harlampovich, a fourth-year student and Vice President of External Relations at UPSA.

Under the Memorandum of Cooperation, concluded between Darnytsia and the leadership of the National Medical University, Vasyl Hubarets, Corporate Communications Director at Darnytsia, and Viacheslav Turok, responsible for pharmacovigilance, Head of the Group, spoke at the conference.

The conference participants learned about the implementation of regulatory aspects and proactive actions of pharmacovigilance during the life cycle of a medicinal product, and were introduced into the basics of the responsible communication strategy of Darnytsia, as well as the specifics of relations with the public and the representatives of the business community. 

‘Our cooperation with Bogomolets University has already given first practical results, which are extremely important. Modern, real approaches to work in pharmacology being discussed by future young scientists and becoming part of the educational process right now guarantees a successful future for the entire industry’, Vasyl Hubarets believes.

To actively interact with students, Darnytsia also cooperates with the Ukrainian Pharmaceutical Student Association (UPSA).

Together with UPSA, the leader of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry implements the Pharm Buddy mentoring programme, under which Darnytsia employees mentor students. 

This programme helps future pharmacists master additional aspects of their professional life.

Employees of Darnytsia develop individualized education programmes for students of such specialities as ‘Pharmacy’, ‘Industrial Pharmacy’, and ‘Biotechnology’ to help them achieve the best results. 

‘All students need an opportunity to gain practical experience first hand, regardless of their field of study and speciality. But it is critical for pharmaceutical students. If we talk about pharmacovigilance, it is not just compliance with quality and safety standards, but responsibility to consumers, patients, concern for their health and life.
