Anticonvulsants

Active substance - pregabalin, a gamma-aminobutyric acid ((S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexane acid) analogue. Mechanism of Action. Pregabalin binds to the auxiliary subunit (2- protein) of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system.

Neuropathic pain.

Treatment of neuropathic pain in adults with peripheral and central nervous system injuries.

Epilepsy.

Adjuvant therapy of partial seizures with or without secondary generalisation in adults.

Generalised anxiety disorder.

Treatment of generalised anxiety disorder in adults.

Fibromyalgia.

The dosing range can be changed from 150 mg to 600 mg daily. The daily dose is divided into 2 or 3 doses.
